Our objective is to build equipment that have a service life measured in decades. We are well prepared to offer co-operative maintenance service, technical support, spare parts supply and repairs that best meets each client’s needs and are customized to meet with local constraints. In some markets, the scope of service can be limited to periodic service & inspection calls by qualified technicians and spare parts repairs & supply while in other markets, the service can be extended up to contractual full maintenance, equipment overhaul and service work. A variety to wear and spare parts packages are available for different circumstances. Many components can be economically rebuilt, when taken early enough out of service. Here the periodic inspection, wear measurements and analysis by knowledgeable personnel plays an important role. Supplier/client co-operative maintenance and service work can offer several benefits such as:
- Knowledge of specific work procedures and use of right tools shorten maintenance
- Use of the motto “Well planned is half done” can eliminate costly, extra steps of work.
- Operating life of wearing parts can be maximized by Saalasti’s regular service work in markets where that service is available.
- Clients are supplied with detailed inspection and service reports that are invaluable tools when service needs and equipment shutdowns are being planned.
- Operating uptime could be maximized if all maintenance and service work is pre-planned whenever possible. Pre-planned maintenance ensures that parts are at hand when work starts.
- Supplier/client service and maintenance co-operation ensures the client can benefit about the supplier’s most recent product developments and improvements and the client can bring to the suppliers attention their views and ideas about how things could be done better and more efficiently. A good dialogue can be the best prevention of costly ad hoc re-engineering ideas.
- Saalasti has a continued interest in collecting and analyzing the operating and maintenance history of each piece of major equipment it has supplied and serviced. This follow up monitoring is carried out by Saalasti’s own service personnel and Saalasti’s network of distributors and agents.
- Saalasti’s services and technical support can benefit new clients starting to plan of new installations. Saalasti’s policy is to provide conceptual application engineering support so that Saalasti’s experience of many equipment installations in different parts of the world can benefit each client in getting an installation that will be safe to operate, has a high uptime and is economical to keep up. Saalasti offers that service to potential clients free of charge.
